What this means: The court will be unable to revoke minister appointments, except as expressly provided for in the Basic Law: Government.

The goal: To legitimize convicted felon Aryeh Deri’s appointment as a minister despite the High Court’s ruling.

The current situation: The High Court of Justice has repeatedly discussed petitions against the appointment of ministers or their continued term in office.
